Lori McCollough » Welcome

Welcome

I'm Lori McCollough a social worker with Kearney Public Schools. I have been married to my husband Mike since 2015 and have one daughter McKenzie who keeps us incredibly busy. I enjoy being around my family and friends. You will find me camping a lot during the summer and at coffee shops during the winter.

As a social worker...I am an advocate. A resource. A listener. An educator. A supporter. I am here for you as well as parents. This may mean, grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle, foster mom or dad. I am here to brainstorm, point you in the right direction, or be a listening ear. My goal is for all students to be as successful as possible both inside and outside of the school setting.

I currently serve Park, Windy Hills, and Meadowlark. I received my undergrad degree in social work through the University of Nebraska at Kearney. I received my masters in social work through the Grace Abbott School of Social Work in Omaha. Since becoming a social worker, I have had the opportunity to work with many different populations. I am currently beginning my 4th year with the district. My absolute favorite part of being a social worker is being able to build relationships and make connections with not only the students, but their families as well.

Please feel to reach out to me with any questions! Sending an email is probably the quickest way to reach me as I am traveling around the school district.
