Mrs. Spivey

Hello!

 

My name is Cassie Spivey, and I have been the Media Specialist at Emerson Elementary and Park Elementary since 2019. Before that, I taught 4th or 5th grade for seven years. I absolutely love being in the library and getting to see all students (K-5) every week! I grew up in Kearney and feel so lucky to get to teach for Kearney Public Schools. I attended UNK and received my Bachelor's in Elementary Education with an endorsement in English as a Second Language, and I received my Masters in Instructional Technology with an emphasis as a School Librarian.

 

Each week, I see every student for 45-50 minutes. When the students come into the library, we are either learning about library skills or technology skills. The students also have the opportunity to check out library books each time they come to Media Class. I look forward to seeing you in the library!
