Meet Wendy O'Neill

My name is Wendy O’Neill. I was born and raised here in Kearney. It is with great pride and honor that I can state that I attended Park Elementary for my K-6 education, and Kearney Jr. High and Kearney High School for 7-12 education.  My  College education and degrees include: Bachelor of Arts: Elementary Education, Early Childhood Endorsement from the University of Nebraska Kearney, K-12 English As a Second Language endorsement:  Wayne State College, and a Master of Arts: Curriculum and Instruction from Doane University.  I have been teaching young students since 1997.  I love being a part of the KPS family and love being a Park Panther.    I am very passionate about teaching children’s literature, early childhood math, the importance of play in early childhood education, teaching mindfulness and self-regulation skills.

In Kindergarten we are active and social learners that; work hard, discover, create, play, learn, sing, dance, laugh, reflect and grow!  We are readers, writers, mathematicians, problem solvers, scientists, artists, singers, athletes, authors, illustrators, builders, engineers, book lovers and friendship builders!
