On Friday, May 10th, Park students will be celebrating the “Battle of the Books!” Over the past few weeks our classrooms have been reading a collection of picture books and voting for their favorites. On Friday, the winning book will be crowned by popular vote from students! This will be an afternoon of celebrating and enjoying our love of reading! Students will get to read their favorite stories, listen to guest readers, play games, and more!
This event (formerly our Reading Marathon) has always been a great fundraiser for our school and PTO. Money donated before and during the “Battle of the Books” will be used to continue funding for reading opportunities at Park. This includes providing books for kids to keep, stocking our book vending machine, bringing story tellers and authors to Park, virtual field trips, and more!
