Sonic Card Sales Winners!
Thanks to all of our parents and students and SONIC, the Park PTO raised nearly $5,000 in sales.  100% of the profits from the cards stay at the school and Sonic donates two bicycles, also.  Our top two salespersons this year were Kyle and Garrett!
Eighteen Winners of Prizes!
The top 18 prize winners got to select their prizes from a variety of things.  Those winners had sold anywhere from 13 cards all the way to 100 cards each!  Students who sold 10-12 cards received a Park Panther T-shirt.
Mr. Shane KPS B & G Employee of the Quarter
Mr. Shane was selected as the KPS Buildings and Grounds Employee of the Quarter.  He was nominated by many of the staff members at Park because he is so dedicated to his work and takes such pride in keeping our building beautiful and safe.  Congratulations Mr. Shane!
P.A.R.K. Learns about Leadership
P.A.R.K. were given the red carpet treatment by Mr. J.L. Schmidt when they were given a pre-opening tour of Kearney's new Classic Car Collection.  Mr. Schmidt shared information about leadership that was involved in bringing the collection to Kearney.  Some concepts discussed were vision, volunteerism, collaboration/cooperation, and much more.
NTV November Teacher of the Month
When Mrs. Wiltgen's class and Mr. Jasnoch unexpectedly walked into Mrs. J's room today, she was confused...but when NTV's Kent Boughton and Mark Onwiler came in after them, she was suspicious!  One of her second graders nominated her for November Teacher on the Month.  Mrs. Jasnoch told Mr. Boughton, "I am just overwhelmed!"

Beautiful Harmon Park
Park Elementary School sits in the beautiful Harmon Park in the center of the city of Kearney.  Park is an academically focused, yet fun and supportive learning environment for children.  We have programs serving children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade.  We enjoy a wonderful partnership with Kearney Parks and Recreation in which we assist their staff in the spring with clean-up and planting in Harmon Park and their staff does many things for our learners.  Our playground is one of many examples of the partnership we enjoy with the city of Kearney.
